Keeping Faith in Troubled Times

Zaytuna Light Study Program

Keeping Faith in Troubled Times

In the Qur'an, we are told stories of those who went before us and the challenges faced by the faithful. Our Prophet ﷺ told us of the inevitable moral decay of humanity over time, as well as the difficulty of holding on to faith in these times. In these times of confusion, we must reconnect with our faith through revelation to make sense of the world and ourselves by reconnecting to Allah, Most High. This talk will focus on practical means to maintaining and strengthening our faith, reconnecting us to our Creator so that we may better withstand the spiritual assaults that lie ahead.

At a time when the darkness of ignorance has cast its shadow more than ever before, humanity yearns for a guiding light that awakens the mind and illuminates the heart. The intensity and speed of change has left many of us bewildered at what lies ahead, and despite the great strides in technology, commerce, and globalization, we find ourselves in an unprecedented state of privation. Our Prophet ﷺ warned his community of the tumult ahead and left two anchors that will never fail: the Book of Allah and the sunnah of His Beloved ﷺ. Join us in this inspiring talk that will provide practical and actionable advice on how to navigate the storms ahead.
