Islamic Ethics and Critical Thinking

This talk delves into how the concept of ijtihad (independent reasoning and legal interpretation) and ethical discernment can contribute to better decision making and problem solving/critical thinking skills. Dr. Abdullah Ali serves as Associate Professor and the Director of the BA Honors Program.

DR. YOUSSEF ISMAIL

This talk offers a historical overview of the Islamic Golden Age, highlighting contributions to mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and philosophy. These scholars set the foundation for a contemporary liberal arts education. Dr. Youssef Ismail serves as Assistant Professor.
