Give the Gift of Permaculture Design

The Permaculture Design Certificate course, like others at Zaytuna College, offers a transformative learning experience that develops the mind, deepens faith, and prepares graduates to contribute to the greater good. Students may be surprised by how much ground the course covers: history, science, economics, philosophy, theology, metaphysics, and more. Permaculture is a highly interdisciplinary science strung together by ethical principles that also belong to the Islamic tradition: stewardship of creation and sharing surplus. And, Islam is the foundation for course instructor Rhamis Kent’s God-centered approach. Students will learn to cultivate the spirit as well as the soil — and may discover as much about Islam as they do about living in harmony with nature.
